I MEAN, WHO COULDN'T LOVE IT?!?! Personal favs: Matsuda and "Mr. Sakujo" himself. I honestly think my favorite aspect of the entire series (of which I've read) is the artwork and the fact that even though the concept is not necessarily uncommon, the series took it to uncommon heights. I mean, come on? An entire series based on a possessed/repressed teenager that takes it upon himself to become a god to the whole flipping world?? Genius!! Opinions, anyone? Huh? HUHH??

I thought that the authors of Death Note were extremely clever, taking a simple concept and making an incredibly complicated plot out of it. Seriously, though, every little detail was thought out and I don't think I could've found a single plot hole.

I remember reading some of the descriptions, and was like, "Whoa, this is really deep. Are you sure this is intended for teens?" And then I reprimanded myself. Better kids read deep, complex, thought-provoking "comics" like Death Note than trashy tabloids. - _ - And I love the artwork, too. After I finished each volume, I went back and just studied the panels. All the little details, and the beautiful rendering was amazing.

Yeah, Death Note's awesome. I loved the art, the story-line, the characters and their quirks (L's oral fixation and foot fetish ); in short, pretty much everything. But one of the things I thought was the most interesting was how different it was from anything else in Shounen Jump. Shounen Jump has serialized One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, YuYu Hakusho, Slam Dunk... in short, action-packed, character-driven manga with rough art. Then there's Death Note; serialized in SJ originally, but a thriller, with few action sequences and plot-driven. That's one of the things that makes it so cool to me, that it's really different from other shounen series. Of course, Mikami and his very servile attitude towards Rait- I mean, God didn't hurt, either ;D

Agreed, agreed... it was all so beautiful... But don't forget, it was Shonen Jump ADVANCED, so it's going to be a bit more for older people, for thinkers and things... but then again, the Advanced is still silly too, like Buso Renkin... But yes, I loved how everything came together and there WERE no plot holes. That was brilliant.

I like analyzing. :3 It's fun. But I must confess a love for psychological type stuff, especially horror (although Deathnote isn't exactly horror. Exactly).
There's also a good bit of analyzing in Code Geass, but also a ton of action. If you haven't seen it, you should watch it. Cassie might have fangirled at you. She fangirls. It's usually fun to fangirl back.
