So hi. I'm Lira. Real name Emily, but I seriously answer to Lira in real life.
A lot of the people here know me already, but I figured I'd make this all official-like, for when we have people who DON'T know me. How fun.
So I'm presently twenty. Probably the oldest person on the site; I'm so ancient. I'll be twenty-one in December. I attend Montgomery College Rockville Campus, and will probably be transferring to Towson or Maryland next year.
But enough exciting real life stuff. This is about ANIME. Which I obviously love. Manga too. I have interesting taste; I love yaoi and yuri, or shounen-ai and shoujou-ai. Mmmn, gay. My current favorite anime is Kuroshitsuji, and I'm loving the manga, too. I tend to love supernatural type stuff, or things with "magical" elements. But that isn't hard to find in anime. Some favorites include Fullmetal Alchemist, HunterxHunter, Hikaru no Go, Deathnote, and Uninhabited Planet Survive (which no one has ever heard of and you should all go watch. Now). I tend to prefer shounen anime over shoujo, since I can pretend the male characters are all in love with each other. Shoujo anime tend to irritate me, because the protagonists are often complete idiots. There are some I like, of course. No good examples right now.
I am obviously in the Urbana library anime club. But I am also in the anime club at MC on the Rockville campus, and am most likely going to be Vice President this semester. I'm officially an officer, but we're trying to do things more properly, so we're about to have a vote. Fun times.
As far as manga go, I love the crap out of CLAMP. I own practically everything out in the US. I just never got around to buying Card Captor Sakura, and Tsubasa Chronicle irritated me with it's length. It's almost over, though, so I'll probably splurge and buy it in bulk for cheap at a con soon. Speaking of which, I love cons. I just have to work on that whole "cosplaying" thing, since I'd love to do it but never have.
